The vapor caves were absolutely phenomenal! Staff was so friendly & welcoming. Take note that there is no AC in the hotel.

Eli was amazing at getting us settled and situated in Durango. The town is very walkable and hotel is very centrally located. I love the morning coffee, fruit and pastry spread. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud! So comfy.

Staff was super friendly. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning, Parking in and around the area was fine. The only downfall was the temp in the room. They have a swamp cooler, which is probably pretty normal for Silverton’s accommodations. I’m sure not very many buildings are air-conditioned in this town but was a little warm at night. It did cool off but took a smidge of time. Delightful place.

Black Bear Manor is super charming!! Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location is the best of both worlds—just a little bit off Main Street, so you’re close to everything but it’s quieter. We arrived early, parked before check-in, and walked to a trail! By the time we got back, December had our room ready early (the best surprise after a hike!) Breakfast was great, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt easy from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
